  • Always bring your ID at all times. When traveling to the neighboring city, don't forget to bring your passport with expiration date of at least 6 (six) months.
  • To maintain their cheap price, many domestic airlines do not serve food during the domestic flight. You might want to eat before boarding the plane.
  • Airports in larger city in Indonesia provide lounges for the passengers. These lounges are free for certain credit card/priority card holders. If you do not own any of the cards, you still can pay the entrance fee to enter. In these lounges, you will find various food and beverages. Some lounges even provide reflexi service (foot massage), business center (computer and internet connection), and children play area.
  • There is an airport tax of IDR 30,000 per person for each flight.
  • Every carrier has different rules regarding the maximum weight allowed for your baggage. However, most airlines allowed baggage of 15-20 kilogram per person.
  • For domestic flight, try to check in at least one hour in advance; two hours for International flight.
  • If you are not traveling by plane, you can rent a car. Try to get a chauffer along with the car. It will save you more time since most probably the chauffer has more knowledge of the road condition. However, if you are going to drive yourself, check out our driving tips .
